PointeNorth Insurance Group was formed in late 2009 by the merger of TRC Stevenson and the property and casualty assets of Merritt-McKenzie, making it one of Atlanta's largest locally owned and operated Independent Insurance Agencies' serving over 12,000 business and households from locations in Atlanta, Decatur and Peachtree City.

2002. Madden & Madden join TRC Insurance Services through acquisition by North Point Group.
2007. Merritt-McKenzie acquired by First Horizon Insurance Atlanta and North Point Group acquires Peach City Partners, dba L.P. Baker Agency.
2009. North Point Group acquires the assets of Stevenson, Shockley, Stevenson—forming TRC Stevenson.
2009. December: TRC Stevenson acquires property and casualty assets Merritt-McKenzie—forming PointeNorth Insurance Group.
